Terri-Ann Foster-Bell - Parent Governor

I have recently taken on the role of Parent Governor, bringing both my professional experience and my perspective as a parent to the governing body.

I currently work at NFU Mutual as a Risk Intelligence Manager, where I lead a team focused on supporting decision‑making through data, insight and technology. My role centres on strengthening governance, improving data literacy, and encouraging the responsible use of innovation, including Artificial Intelligence. I have experience in leadership, project and change management, strategic thinking, and supporting organisations to make informed decisions in complex and evolving environments.

As a governor, I am particularly interested in strong governance, transparency and accountability, alongside the effective and proportionate use of information and tools to support better outcomes for pupils.

I have a strong personal connection to the school, having attended myself many years ago, and now as a parent of two boys currently at St John’s. Outside of school, I am Treasurer for a local Scout group and enjoy taking part in karate with my eldest son.

I hope to bring a balanced and thoughtful approach to the role, supporting the school’s continued development while representing the views and interests of parents.
