Eco Council

Eco Council

Now that school has returned to relative normality, our Eco Councillors are meeting every week after school.

So far our Eco Councillors have completed an Environmental Review of our school, chosen Litter, Marine and School Grounds as their focus this year and written a new Eco Code.

Please check back on a regular basis to see any updates.

From time to time the content of this page may be written and added to by the children, so please bear this in mind when reading posts especially if there are spelling or grammar errors.

Thank you

Mrs Burnell & Mrs Lloyd

What is Eco Council?

The Eco Council is a group of children consisting of two pupils from each class from Year 3 to Year 6.

The aim of the Eco Council is to help the school develop as an Eco School.  We hope to complete tasks that will result in the school keeping our Green Flag award which is an internationally recognised award for excellence in environmental action and learning.

This year our main focus will be working on tasks looking at reducing litter, improving our school garden and Mary’s Garden and learning how we can help Marine life.

Please visit this page regularly to check on the awards progress and any other exciting activities that may have taken place.
