Please see below for information about what our Governing Body do and how they ensure that we are providing your child(ren) with the quality of education they deserve. You can get in touch with Governors via the school office. With regard to operational matters; the first point of contact is the class teacher or the Headteacher.

School Governors are people who want to make a positive contribution to children’s education.  Governors are one of the largest volunteer forces in the country and have an important part to play in raising school standards. The role of the Governing Body is absolutely key to the effectiveness of a school.  School Governors provide strategic leadership and accountability in schools. The Governing Body is made up of different types of Governors including Foundation, Parent, Staff and Local Authority. As a Catholic school, our Foundation Governors play a crucial role in preserving the Catholic ethos and Character of the school.

Each individual Governor is a member of the Governing Body, which is established in law as a corporate body. Individual Governors may not act independently to the rest of the Governing Body. Decisions are the joint responsibility of the Governing Body.
