For this half term, PE is on a Monday afternoon.
Parents: Please try to read with your child every night for at least 10 minutes. It really does make a massive difference to their progression in reading and other subjects!
Our Learning
Our topic for Autumn 1 is 'Stunning Stones', a topic themed around the Stone Age. In English we will be exploring the text 'Into the Forest' and our focus in Science will be Rocks and Soils. We will exploring much of the Stone Age, creating an ongoing timeline. In Art we will be looking at cave paintings, as well as creating our own paintbrushes and paint from natural materials.
Our topic for Autumn 2 is 'Brilliant Bodies', a topic themed around the Stone Age moving into the Iron Age. In English we will be exploring the text 'Fox' and our focus in Science will be Animals including Humans. We will continue to explore the Stone Age, adding to our ongoing timeline. In Art we will be exploring the artist Henri Rosseau and how he uses colour and texture to create his work. We will also learn about Digital devices in Computing and explore how they work.
