Welcome to Class 6W
Our teacher is Mrs. Walton
Miss A. Walton
Year 6 Teacher
We always use our four learning powers (resilience, reciprocity, resourcefulness, reflectiveness) to achieve our goals and understand our learning.
Important Notes:
You should be reading for pleasure every night and get your reading records signed at least 4 times a week and to use First News online.
Reading records will be checked every Friday.
You must learn and practise your times tables and corresponding division facts up to 12 x 12.
You must practise your spelling words from the Year 5 and 6 Statutory Spelling list every week.
New spellings will be given out weekly and tested the following week.
Homework will be given out every Thursday and needs to be handed in no later than Tuesday of the following week.
Parents: Please try to read at home with your child at least 4 times a week and then sign their home reading record. It really does make a massive difference to their progression in reading and other subjects!
Our Learning
Our Summer 1 topic Is ‘Should we be wary of wolves?’. Our books this half term are “The Ways of the Wolf”, a non-fiction book about wolves and “The Wolves in the Wall”, which is a story book. We will be looking at the classification of animals and plants and myths to do with wolves.
