Welcome to Class 6W

Our teacher is Mrs. Walton

Miss A. Walton
Year 6 Teacher

We always use our four learning powers (resilience, reciprocity, resourcefulness, reflectiveness) to achieve our goals and understand our learning.

Important Notes:

  • You should be reading for pleasure every night and get your reading records signed at least 4 times a week and to use First News online.

  • Reading records will be checked every Friday.

  • You must learn and practise your times tables and corresponding division facts up to 12 x 12.

  • You must practise your spelling words from the Year 5 and 6 Statutory Spelling list every week.

  • New spellings will be given out weekly and tested the following week.

  • Homework will be given out every Thursday and needs to be handed in no later than Tuesday of the following week.

Parents: Please try to read at home with your child at least 4 times a week and then sign their home reading record. It really does make a massive difference to their progression in reading and other subjects!

Our Learning

Our Summer 1 topic Is ‘Should we be wary of wolves?’. Our books this half term are “The Ways of the Wolf”, a non-fiction book about wolves and “The Wolves in the Wall”, which is a story book. We will be looking at the classification of animals and plants and myths to do with wolves.
